Getting started with SQL Developer

Do you think you can download, install and connect to a database in under 5 minutes with an advanced GUI PL/SQL IDE? You can. I did it. SQL Developer 1.2 is available for download. SQL Developer is completely free and is a very nice tool. If you tried it before but found it lacking (and what new tool doesn't miss some favorite features), give 1.2 a try. It's still not everything for everyone but the source level debugger is awesome.

Check out a couple of videos I made yesterday. The first video shows me downloading, installing and connecting to a 10g database. Super simple! The second video shows me doing some basic navigation. I didn't record sound on these.
